Thes 5:16

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 I heard this on The Amazing Race tonight and had to share. It's a beautiful saying and I'll try hard to remember it. 'be glad, pray and give thanks!'

Walkin

I love Leslie Sansone. I've never met her, but I love her and her videos. If you don't know, she is the queen of walking at home workout videos. She's been my go-to person since 2001 (I believe) when I my first set of her videos (on VHS). She is just so positive and helpful. Nothing but kind words and thankfulness towards her! I have 2 exams on Monday. I did one presentation today and another next week. I have my friend's surprise bday party this weekend that I organized, which I'm very excited about. And Wednesday nights are the best nights for TV. I write this as I watch Survivor.

Welcome Back!

By my title of this post, I am welcoming both you and I back to my blog. Not too many of 'you' out there, but maybe one day! So, it's been 8 months since I've last posted. A lot has happened! I have completed my training sessions (after rotating between 4 trainers - good overall, but too much stupid shit someone paying a lot of money for training had to go through), I have been to South America (my first time out of the country), I am officially a junior in college, I completed an awesome internship, I have a great new job at my college and, oh yeah, I've lost exactly 50 pounds and 30 inches! I originally lost 20 pounds on my own before I got a trainer. With their help, I was able to lose about another 20-25 pounds and a lot of inches. This was key b/c I was not seeing much physical results on my own. Since my training stopped in July, I haven't worked out much, but I've lost about 6 pounds. It's been a year since I started all this. A little longer than

Already a small bump in the road...

After two official training sessions with my personal trainer (PT), he ' texted ' me this morning to say the scheduling conflict we'd be having is no longer working for him, our workout today was canceled and I'm to wait for a new PT to call me. So disappointed. Hopefully, this new PT will be able to accommodate with my schedule, since I'm a full time student, work part time and cannot be at the gym every day. I want and need someone who will commit to me and my goals, so I can go to the beach this summer and enjoy myself in a bathing suit, having fun in the sun and water! I did not workout today and won't be tomorrow, either. I hope to make time for a home workout on Tuesday and should meet my new PT on Wednesday. On the up side, I have been losing weight this week. I'm down 2.4 pounds or so from last week. Maybe it's the fact that I'm now eating 5 times a day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a snack in between . I bought myself a single-serv

Transformation

Well, it's been quite awhile. I just signed up with a personal trainer, hoping to have someone push me to the next level. Since July, I've been consistently working out and watching what I eat. I've lost 25 lbs and about 17 inches. While I'm very proud of myself, I need more. I feel I've done as much as I can do on my own and have now sought professional help. In the next 7-10 weeks, I hope to be leaner and fitter and start on a path that will continue for quite some time. I will try to make an effort to update this more often, so I have something to look back on. I truly feel this is the (second) start towards my goal. Personally, I want to lose another 30 pounds. The trainer said I could stand to lose about 50-60, based on my body fat. I want obvious results. Even though I've done well on my own, and some clothes fit looser, the weight and inches I've already lost have not made much of a difference, physically. I hope, pray and will actively seek
