Hello Blogger World,
This is my first time blogging. Bare with me.
I was never one to keep a diary as a kid. I never saw a reason to write my thoughts down. And besides, who will be reading my blog? I'm not famous or know how to get my blog out to the masses. Do I care if anyone reads what I have to say? I don't really, but hope so. As encouragement.
I've created this blog to track my weight loss journey. I thought that maybe if I had someone to report to (you strangers out there that I don't even know if you're reading my blog), it'd make this journey easier, better.
Exercising and eating healthy are not new to me. I've tried many times before, many different ways. With coworkers, with a buddy, with my mom, by myself. Maybe a few pounds lost here and there. But, as I've thought many times before now: maybe this time is different.
I recently bought a treadmill, to go along with my elliptical and dozens of workout dvds. It's too damn hot outside, so working out inside, under a fan, with the a/c blowing, is a must.
I know what I should and should not eat. I'm not stupid. I also joined Weight Watchers back in February. It probably would have worked had I not 'cheated' so many times. I have a thing for eating out. And chocolate.
So, after many tries and failures, I've come to try again. My goal: to lose 10 pounds by the start of school, which is August 30th. This gives me 6 full weeks. A reasonable goal, I believe.
I look forward to sharing this journey with you. And I hope you enjoy sharing it with me.

Oh I know this journey ... good luck! It is hard isn't it. I can be good for a few weeks and then lose the plot and put it all back on again in a few days. Funny how even when you know how good you will feel when you succeed you still 'cheat'! ANyway, I am sure you will do good this time. The treadmill will be great - just dont overdo it on the first few days or you will put yourself off.

ReplyDeleteGood luck! I'm working towards a similar goal in almost the same time frame. It's nice to have others in the same boat, as it helps with motivational issues and such.
